Update on Brett & Mamma Sans…

It was a truly horrible sight to see them both fall at Motukarara due to interference on Sunday, it is the worst part of this tough game. Brett has sustained a fractured collar bone, sternum and ribs. He is waiting to see if surgery is required but unfortunately will be out for some time. He is in pretty good spirits so fingers crossed for a successful and swift recovery. Mumma Sans is at the clinic for further observation but hopeful she can make a full recovery. Thank you to all that have sent in well wishes.

Cup Week…It has arrived and we are ready for a solid week with 11 possible runners over the 3 meetings. This Saturday the weather looks great and the track will run good as we head over with 3 starters for the team.Straight into a Listed event with Disturbance to take his place in the Pegasus Stakes over 1000m. Matt Cameron will take the reins and jumps from gate one. The Heiress is in over 1600m, she is first up for us and hoping she can regain some of that good form with Matt aboard. Our other stakes contender is Zentessa for the Metropolitan Trophy with Matt in the saddle. She has black type under her belt already but a stakes win is very much deserved.

Wednesday…The weather looks as though it’s going to take a turn for next week so hoping not too much rain before the middle day with 5 runners for the card at this stage. Disturbance for the listed Steward Stakes, Lake Chalice for the Group 3 Valachi Breeders Stakes, Big Wink over 2500m, Red Light District for the mdn 1600m, and Vivace Lady 3yo 1400m.

We wish everyone involved all the very best over Cup and Show week, happy punting and see you on course. Let the Champagne flow!!!

Disturbance

On the countdown to the big week of racing, this is what we work so hard for to have the horses ripe and ready. Disturbance, winner of 8 races, is in contention for 2 listed events over the week. The competition will be tough and we are pumped for the challenge.

Zentessa

This mare has a real touch of class and is looking in absolutely magnificent order ahead of Saturday’s run. Good luck to the Valachi Downs team.
