What’s been happening, A pretty quiet time on the racing front for the team with most either out spelling, or have returned to the stables for their new preparations. We have a full house here but only two of those currently racing in Jakkalnuts and Rabada. Jakkalnuts is putting together a solid form line with her love of the heavy tracks and last start at Riccarton for the Feature meeting she produced a good 2nd placing stepping up to 2000m for the first time. She will now be aimed at National Week early August.

Rabada has had three runs in our camp for a good 2nd fresh up, then a miss last start not enjoying the heavy footing. Yesterday was a totally different story back on the poly track he was in the zone and won pretty nicely in the 65 1600m. Diego Montes De Oca was in the saddle from a wide gate of 10, flew the machine and easily got outside the leader with a good genuine tempo in the running. Kicking away strongly up the straight and claimed the win by two and quarter lengths.

5yo son of Per Incanto out of Savabeel mare Turkey Lowe bred by Vermair Racing, has taken a liking to the synthetic surface with two very good runs on there to date. He is down from Graeme Richardson’s stable and Graeme shares in the ownership with Brendon McCullum.

Congratulations on win two and hope he can add to his tally over the coming months.

We will keep ticking away preparing the team for Spring racing, lots of young stock around us and some exciting prospects for the new season. We hope you are all safe and well and by all means pop in and say hi!
