Recap,

Timaru last Friday produced some good results with many of the team lining up on resuming runs. First of the day and making it a winning run was Iffididit in the hands of Kavish Chowdhoory. A wide gate saw him settle near the rear of the field over 1200m, then he rolled into things and once balanced up let down with a sizzling turn of foot to win comfortably. Kikimora gave a sight for 2nd in the 65 1200m, Betty Spaghetti was unlucky in the running getting shuffled back but found the line for 2nd also 65 1200m, Blue Solitaire up to a mile from 1200m went super for a close 3rd, Miss Layla a strong 4th and finding in the 75 1200m, and debutant Tetbury produced an encouraging professional effort for 5th mdn 3yo 1200m.

Ashburton Saturday,

Another busy day in store coming up this weekend with the track currently sitting at a soft 7. Beginning race one with the mdn 1600m with runners El Chapeau and Quintabelle who ran 3rd and 4th respectively at their last outing over 1400m. The first of 3 65 1400m with Sagan who is looking for more ground and will appreciate the softer footing. Last start winner Iffiditit stepping up to 1400m along with Lady’s Legacy in the same race. On debut is Pierrogrine for the mdn 1200m who isn’t getting a lot of luck with his barrier draws. Petty’s Legacy starts in the open 1200m due to being late scratched at Timaru after playing up in the float to the races. Second Thought up to the mile this week following on from a brilliant fresh up 1400m last start. The third 65 1400m sees Ugo onto a better surface this week and Madame Giselle fresh up. Kikimora has drawn the carpark so can wait for the next meeting. Miss Layla up to the 1400m and should come into gate 10 with the ballots out. We are fortunate to have one runner in the Group 3 Barneswood Farms Stakes 3yo 1400m and Warning Signal will take her place from gate 1. A superb display for 3rd in the Canterbury Belle Stakes last time out has us excited to step her up in distance this week.

All the very best to connections racing!

Iffididit

Our 4yo Iffraaj gelding out of Ididit we purchased from the Karaka yearling sales has been a work in progress and has provided us with many challenges but with plenty of patience is putting together a pretty solid formline with his first four career starts 2221. We think he has a bright future and will be one to follow.

A wonderful group of owners involved so massive congratulations to them!
