Thursday 14th December 2023

There hasn’t been a whole lot of racing for us since Cup Week with many of the team heading out for a short freshen up. We did have some good results out of Cromwell on the 3rd December with 4 runners on the day. Madame Giselle went a brilliant fresh up run for second place, just getting pipped on the line in the 65 1400m, Petty’s Legacy into third in the open 1400m, and Kikimora caught late for 4th in the 75 1400m. Ugo wasn’t all that enthused to be apart of things and didn’t put forward an effort.

Ashburton Wednesday,

We head down to road to Ashburton next Wednesday with 5 runners for the card at this stage. Betty Spaghetti will be resuming following a short freshen in the open 1300m as we work towards a trip to Trentham. Mister Goldie will start in the mdn 2200m, Pierrogrine mdn 1400m, Kudos De Sothys 65 1400m, and on debut will be Tommy Shelby mdn 3yo 1200m.

Good luck to connections as we kick into the busy time of year!

Betty Spaghetti

We are very much looking forward to getting Betty back in action next week as we work towards the Group 3 Anniversary Handicap at Trentham on January 13th. This mare has shown her talents locally and is ready to take the step up into better company. Wednesday will be a stepping stone on the road to Wellington!
