What’s been happening…

Scala Sancta was a frustrating watch at Kumara on Saturday where she lined up in the mdn f&m 1150m. A less than desirable ride but she really flew late for 2nd and closing on the winner, and will be one to watch at her next start.

We took Showemhowitsdone to the trials today at Ashburton following a nice freshen up after cup week, and it was a good hit out as she works towards some of the 3yo races coming up this season. Terry Moseley rode in an open 1200m where she settled last then worked up around them to find the line under her own steam for the win.

Racing this weekend…  One runner heading to Wingatui this Saturday at that is Laphroaig. He has been knocking on the door to clear maiden ranks and finished 3rd last start at Greymouth. Daniel Bothamley remains on to ride and should be jumping from the middle of the field over 1400m. Good luck to Valachi Downs.

3yo Showcasing filly out of Jaffari enjoyed a few quiet weeks out on the grass following another solid preparation. The aim is to kick off in the Gore Guineas next Saturday with T. Moseley to do the riding. Let’s hope she can pick up a listed win for Sally and Dennis Mullally this campaign.
