Recap,

A great set of results from the Riccarton meeting last Thursday with the standout being Kikimora. She’s been knocking and tidied the mdn 1200m field right up with a whopping 4 length margin at the post. Lady’s Legacy was awkwardly away fresh up in the mdn 1400m landing near the rear of the field but gained many lengths to finish  2nd, and certainly one to watch. Ugo also racing in a fresh state finished into 3rd place over 1400m with a good positive ride from Lee Callaway. Debutant Chadillac bombed the start and they ran off the front in his maiden 1400m but he will keep for another day, and The Bold Lioness did a touch too much in front throughout running into 5th over 2000m.

Ashburton tomorrow,,

We head to the Ashburton raceway tomorrow with three first starters in Iffididit, The Seamstress and Miss Layla for mdn 1200m races 2 & 3. These 3yo’s have trials under their belts and we look forward to getting a line on them tomorrow but will all be looking to get over more ground. Kudos de Sothys is our resuming runner kicking off in the 75 1400m, running out of grade but a good course to get back into things following a freshen up.

All the very best to connections starting tomorrow.

Kikimora

Our two 3yo fillies will go head to head in the Listed NZB Insurance Stakes on Saturday. Both fillies have won over the distance which is a good advantage.  It has drawn a strong field, it will be a competitive race and Our Shamexpress 3yo filly out of Suzie Kaye has met with some strong company in her short career and is already stakes placed, and although it has taken a little time to nail that first win she absolutely did it in a stylish manner at Riccarton last week. Aided by a punchy Lisa Allpress ride she rolled to the lead and never looked back, kicking well clear of her opponents. A satisfying win for her loyal group of owners and for us!are pumped to have two live chances. The track is currently a soft 5 with some rain forecast. Congratulations to you!
