Recap,

We were back to Ashburton on Sunday and the rain came leaving us with a heavy 8 surface. In the mdn 1600m we had Mister Goldie, Joybells & Justify That who are all searching for further distance now, Annia Aurelia and Tetbury in the mdn 1200m were both doing their best work in the closing stages and are also wanting to get over more ground. Lady Flojo is beginning to put things together and ran well for 2nd in the mdn 1400m. Kikimora was the star of the day taking out the 65 1200m in the hands of Sam Wynne. She raced 3 wide with cover the trip from a wide gate and let down well up the straight drawing over a length margin ahead at the line.

Riccarton Saturday,

Looking ahead to racing this weekend for a feature meeting where we have 7 runners engaged. Two acceptors for the Group 3 War Decree Stakes where Warning Signal and Quintabelle to take their places gates 11 and 1 respectively. Second Thought is set for a start in the Sothys Spring Classic from barrier 4. The Seamstress and Pierrogrine both line up in the mdn 1400m, and Ugo and Iffididit to start in the 65 1600m. All the very best to connections racing this weekend.

Kikimora

Shamexpress mare out of Suzie Kay is becoming a handy mare with now 2 wins, 7 seconds and 2 thirds to her name and she has only been out of the top 5 twice! A compact field throughout the running and finding the better ground out wider on the course she certainly showed how much she has matured and strengthened up this preparation. Many congratulations to her winning connections!
