Cup Week recap,

The middle day saw some good results from the team with El Chapeau finishing into 4th in the 3yo 1400m, Petty’s Legacy only 3.1L from the winner in the Group 3 Breeder’s Stakes along with a dashing run from Miss Layla flying late into a close third placing, giving a real sight! Cup Day saw a solid 2nd placing from Ugo in the 65 2000m, and a pleasing run from Quintabelle in a very strong 1000 Guineas line up. The last on the card and bringing Cup Week 2023 to a close in the most stylish of fashions was Betty Spaghetti. A foot perfect ride from Warren Kennedy saw this mare track beautifully in the running and kick superbly up the straight to take out the 75 1600m. Also in that race and gaining on the inside after shifting ground was Iffididit for a close 3rd backing up from his excellent win on the first day. We hope you all enjoyed the three meetings and had some success on the punt! Thank you to our loyal owners for their support over the week.

Cromwell,

South bound for a two day meeting at Cromwell beginning tomorrow with one runner in the last on the program in Ugo. He will be looking to go one better this week in the 65 2000m but will need to find a little magic from a wider barrier. Day two we will have four runners beginning with Petty’s Legacy for the open 1400m in what will be a competitive race but one she can go close in. Ugo backs up into the 65 2000m and no better gate for this day so will need some luck in the running, Madame Giselle starts from alley 2 in the 65 1400m, and Kikimora also gate 2 for the 75 1400m.

All the very best to connections racing over these two days we wish you all the best of luck and look forward to seeing some of you on course!

Madame Giselle

A bit of a niggle sidelining this mare over Cup Week has been resolved and we are looking forward to getting her back on track at Cromwell this Sunday. Strong 3yo form including black type placing we hope to see her bounce back to her best self kicking off this weekend.
