Recap,   Another busy day at the trials for us yesterday with our next 6 horses getting ready to resume at the races. Defiant and Perfectly Suited both trialled against the older horses in separate 1000m heats for 3rd place. Kikimora gave them a decent margin to win comfortably in a mdn 3yo 1000m, Blue Solitaire with an encouraging tight 2nd mdn 3yo 1000m, Iffididit showed improvement for 2nd place over 1000m, and Petty’s Legacy and Second Thoughtlined up together over 800m for 1st and 2nd respectively. It was great to give them a nice hit out albeit on the poly track but looking forward to getting them into Spring racing.

Coming up,

This Friday we have 3 runners for the Wingatui meeting at this stage. Bolshoi Star will have her first start for the stable in the mdn 800m to be ridden by Rohan Mudhoo. She trialled well mid-August and we look forward to getting her on track. Count Nico starts in the mdn 1200m with Terry Moseley in the saddle. He is on debut following on from an encouraging trial outing. Lastly we have La Frox for the mdn f&m 1200m with Rohan to ride. She has had a couple of trials to date and has drawn well at barrier 3.

All the best to connections.

La Frox

Our beautiful No Nay Never filly out of Exceed and Excel mare Show and Tell pictured here as a yearling. She was purchased from Karaka 2021 and has a wonderful group of owners involved. A few speed bumps along the way for this filly and although she will be better on top of the ground it will be nice to get some experience under her belt and a trip away does them the world of good. She has a couple of trials under her belt and we look forward to seeing her progress.
